This small but intricate tabernacle was designed and built for the sisters of the Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary. It was designed for the chapel of their retreat center located near the city of Kankakee.
The frame of the tabernacle was crafted from solid cherry and required significant handwork to carve the textured surface and create the bevel around the door. The door features a decorative design done in olive ash swirl veneer and intarsia composed from solid mahogany, maple and walnut. The intarsia design is based upon the logo on the sign in front of the One Heart One Soul retreat center.
